The Longest Tale

The Longest Tale is a narrative driven action adventure game developed by Dev Null Productions, where I worked as a Gameplay Programmer for nearly two years until release.
Throughout the project, I contributed to a wide range of gameplay and technical systems using Unity and C#. My work included gameplay mechanics, puzzle implementation, controller support, UI integration, optimization, save/load systems, scene transitions, audio implementation, gameplay polish, and custom editor tools for development workflows.
I worked extensively with systems and tools such as Unity’s New Input System, FMOD, A* Pathfinding Project, Invector Third Person Controller, More Mountains Feel, and Dialogue System integrations. Part of my work involved adapting and extending these frameworks to fit the specific gameplay and technical needs of the project.
I also developed internal editor tools and workflows used by the team, including setup environments for release builds, playtesting configurations, and demo environments to streamline development and testing processes.
I collaborated closely with designers, artists, QA, and audio teams in a remote production environment, contributing to feature iteration, bug fixing, optimization, and release preparation.
Working on The Longest Tale gave me valuable experience developing and shipping a commercial game while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team on a large-scale Unity project.
